The partner of Sirota & Partners, Artem Sirota, made a report at the Annual Legal Conference of the Russian-German Chamber of Commerce held on December 1, 2020. In his report, Artem Sirota highlighted the latest legislative changes affecting arbitration agreements concluded with parties targeted by foreign sanctions, and the recent case law trends on this issue. Considering the risks of recognizing such arbitration clauses unenforceable, Artem outlined practical recommendations for negotiating the terms of arbitration agreements in the light of the changed regulation.
